UCI Rankings Rider Update | Tadej Pogacar remains at the top but Mads Pedersen’s Giro sees him overtake Mathieu van der Poel

There haven’t been significant shifts in the UCI Rankings over the past week, as most riders have now started the Giro d’Italia and racing activity outside the event has been minimal. As a result, Tadej Pogacar comfortably maintains his lead at the top of the standings.

In the latest 2025 update, there have been minor changes at the top. Mads Pedersen has climbed to second place—surpassing Mathieu van der Poel—thanks to two stage wins in the first three stages of the Giro. Wout van Aert has also moved up, overtaking Filippo Ganna to take fifth place after finishing second in the opening stage.

Further down in the year-long rankings, the top 24 remain unchanged. However, Arnaud De Lie has dropped in the standings, having lost many of the points he had accumulated by this time last year. Meanwhile, Emilien Jeannière, Kévin Vauquelin, and Hugo Hofstetter have made gains within the Top 100 by performing well in the French classics.
