Authorities in Baldwin County, Georgia, said that Ben Cleveland, an offensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens, was detained last week for driving under the influence.
According to the report, Cleveland was stopped on February 12 at approximately 10:25 p.m. ET after he was observed swerving and changing lanes. After undergoing a field sobriety test, the lineman reportedly recorded a blood alcohol content of 0.178, which is more than double the legal limit of 0.08.
“Approximately three to four beers,” Fox 5 Atlanta reported, were allegedly consumed by him. Cleveland was transported to a local jail and issued two citations: one for failing to maintain his lane and another for driving while intoxicated. Later, he was liberated after bonding out. The 26-year-old offensive lineman was chosen in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft and is a native of Georgia and a graduate of the University of Georgia.
He is scheduled to become a free agency in March after playing as a reserve offensive lineman in every regular and postseason game in 2024–2025.
