What went wrong for the Ravens against the Steelers is explained by Justin Tucker.
In Week 11, Justin Tucker’s subpar play appeared to be the root of the Baltimore Ravens’ problems.
John Harbaugh chose to leave his star rusher, Derrick Henry, off the field on fourth-and-two, Lamar Jackson appeared lost on a few of his passes, and the rest of the squad didn’t do much better. However, he only booted the ball once out of three times when the Ravens needed their special teams ace to secure three points in a pinch, which contributed significantly to their two-point loss to their fierce rivals.
What provides? How did Tucker go from being an automatic to a liability? Tucker was once one of the most accurate kickers of all time, but he is no longer the most accurate kicker of all time. Has he just gotten lost? Or did he have exceptional circumstances that affected his performance in Week 11?
After the game on Sunday afternoon, reporters questioned Tucker about it, and he gave an explanation of his two missed field goals. “I thought it was going to stay on the line in the left 30 uprights on the first one, but it just took a left,” Tucker told reporters. “I felt like I started the ball pretty much center of the uprights on the 50-yarder from the right hash, and then it just took a left.” “I changed my strategy for the game’s remaining possibilities, making it a point to aim farther out to the right of the uprights’ center. It’s definitely annoying, particularly when we are aware that these [Ravens-Steelers] games are crucial, as this one was today, and I allowed a couple to escape.
However, as I have already stated, the only thing we can do is just return to work immediately and concentrate on seizing our next opportunity. Whoa, that’s some interesting material. It gets much better, though, because Tucker was open to discussing his problems further during what may be the most crucial period of his NFL career.
